House of Blues…

The founders of House of Blues embraced American blues music as a cornerstone of their mission, celebrating its rich history through live performances, art, and cuisine.

House of Blues venues feature the world’s largest permanent collection of Outsider and American Folk Art, often called Southern Vernacular Art. This living museum showcases works by over 150 self-taught, predominantly African-American artists. Notable contributors include Mose T., Jimmy Lee Sudduth, Leroy Almon, Roy Ferdinand, Howard Finster, Richard Burnside, Ruth Mae McCrane, Jon Bok, and Archie Byron. Their raw, powerful, and emotional creations, known as "Visual Blues," adorn the walls of every restaurant and music hall. This art and the music it complements honor the cultural journey of 20th-century Black Americans, reflecting a narrative of resilience, healing, and unity in the face of systemic racism.

Recognizing blues as a uniquely American art form and the root of modern music, House of Blues stages now host a wide range of genres, including rock, pop, soul, funk, R&B, gospel, hip-hop, and country. Each of its eleven concert halls amplifies the message of "Unity in Diversity," exemplified by the God Wall—a tribute to spiritual symbols from global religions. This installation underscores a shared human pursuit of love, truth, and beauty, celebrating the diversity that unites us.

House of Blues embodies an inside-out culture, weaving its mission and values into every aspect of the organization. Employees undergo comprehensive training to cultivate an inclusive, respectful, and creative environment. Symbolism permeates the venues, from the Crazy Quilt stage curtains, representing the Underground Railroad, to the Mississippi mud-filled boxes beneath each stage, honoring the blues' foundational spirit. The Restaurant & Bar embraces a modern interpretation of Southern Soul Food, complementing the artistic and musical experience.

The venue’s unique fusion of Southern art with Eastern-inspired elements creates a seamless and deeply impactful atmosphere.

The exclusive Foundation Room membership club furthers this blend, showcasing art, artifacts, and décor inspired by the founders' travels and devotion to Eastern spirituality. Reminiscent of the opulent English clubrooms of London, these luxurious spaces welcome music lovers who share a passion for philanthropy, community, and live performance.

Every corner of the Foundation Room tells a story, with Indian Gujarat tapestries, Persian carpets, intricate woodwork, and palatial furnishings adorning its intimate hideaways. These spaces are sanctuaries for creativity and connection, offering members a timeless and unforgettable experience.
