    Myrtle Beach
    Introduction

    Myrtle Beach and surrounding communities.

Myrtle Beach, a city and vacation resort on South Carolina’s Atlantic coast, is the hub of the Grand Strand, a 60-mile string of beaches. It’s also known for its celebrity-designed golf courses. Along its beachfront boardwalk are arcades, souvenir stands and restaurants, as well as the old-fashioned Family Kingdom amusement park and the SkyWheel, one of the country’s tallest Ferris wheels.

Other activities and amusements not to miss are Broadway at the Beach with over a hundred specialty shops, restaurants and nightlife, Pirates Voyage for dinner and a show and the Carolina Opry for year round entertainment. Take in a baseball game. Watch the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, a Single-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, play under the lights at the family friendly Pelican Stadium.

Visit the Myrtle Beach State Park nestled among oceanfront maritime forest. A quiet, and surprisingly green, escape from the otherwise bustling beach. The park offers among other activities camping, a fishing pier, a nature center and nature trails.

Myrtle Beach and its surrounding communities are a great place to visit and live. Myrtle Beach, located in Horry County, is listed as the number one fast-growing place to live in the US and the best place to live in South Carolina according to a report from U.S. News.

The seasonal Anchor Café is located just steps from the Grande Dunes Marina and offers one of Myrtle Beach’s best water views. Featuring casual dining overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, this great local hangout is ready to welcome residents and guests alike all spring and summer long.  Market Common – shop, eat, play, live. The Market Common has an urban like vibe, offering live/work space with Charleston style homes and condominiums. A place where you can experience exceptional shopping and dining in a beautifully-designed village setting.  Along tree-lined avenues, you’ll find the nation’s biggest and most celebrated names in retail and one-of-a-kind boutiques as well as multiple dining options.  The Market Common has become the place to be for outdoor events. They host a New Year’s Eve party, the Taste of the Market Common, free concerts and movies in the park each summer, and delightful Halloween and Christmas Tree Lighting celebrations to name a few. In addition, there are marathons, festivals of the Italian, Irish and wine varieties, and dragon boat races in neighboring Grand Park annually.  Even the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival, now in its 14th year, calls the Market Common home.
